What Do You Think of My Site?

Enjoy with animals!

  1. Susan, the part about your site that I thought was impressive was where you could donate to Best Friends directly. You picked a very noble cause in comparison to mine. I feel that the website flows pretty well, and your message is clear throughout the webpages.

  2. Hey Susan, wow, that was pretty cool with the donation thingy in there. Personally I think the orange text looks better on the home page and the others with the white background and grey sidebars instead of the grey all over, however I feel that the ethos you are going for of a certain professionalism and legitimate animal sheltering is hurt by the font and coloring of most your text. Also the long, long pages without in-text hyperlinking up and down the page is hurting that same ethos and a bit of your logos.

Also good use of pathos in including stories and pictures throughout the website. I would say have linking up and down the pages at the beginning and end of stories to help with navigation.

  3. I gotta say, Pathos is your strength in this assignment. Nothing screams emotion quite as much as animals, and your site is covered with them, and for all the right reasons. You emotionally appeal to the audience with the sheer volume of the animals. I also find your use of Kairos pretty interesting. You literally put the opportunity to donate to the organization, and immediately follow it with social networking. It may have been unintentional, but it felt like you were sending the people struck with Metanoia for not donating to move onto the social networking aspect. That's smart thinking.
